SUV turns turtle in bid to dodge cops, 1 dead

DEHRADUN: A 21-year-old man was killed after the SUV he was travelling in turned turtle after hitting an electric pole. The deceased along with his five friends were heading towards Raipur area after abducting a man named Yamank Tyagi when the incident happened.
Notably, the victim Aakash Singh, a BBA student of University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, lost control after of the wheels after trying to escape policemen trying to stop his car.

In the incident, five others — Ayush Kamboj, Shivam Dagar, Prashant Chaudhary, Rohit Bansal and Lucky Chaudhary — also got injured.
According to police, the six friends had abducted Yamank Tyagi at gunpoint and were taking him towards Raipur area when they were intercepted by a police team, which they tried to escape before they met with an accident.
“Yamank Tyagi has told police that the six men had kidnapped him at gun point and threatened him to call his friends with whom they had a fight at a local gym,” said Shweta Choubey, superintendent of police (SP) City.
Police have registered a case against the five accused under section 147 (rioting), 148 (rioting armed with deadly weapon), 149 (unlawful assembly), 364 (kidnapping), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Police also recovered a country made pistol, wooden sticks and sword from the vehicle used in the crime.
