DEHRADUN: In a shocking incident, a hidden camera was found installed in a hotel room in Tehri that was occupied by a group of tourists from Delhi and Ghaziabad.
The complainant had noticed a red light coming from the ceiling fan and discovered the camera. They immediately informed police which arrested the owner of Basant Palace, a prominent tourist destination in Uttarakhand.
A case was registered against him under relevant Indian Penal Code sections.

The incident took place on Monday night after five friends and relatives, including three women and two men, checked into hotel Basant Palace in Tehri. Tehri circle officer DS Tomar said they were provided two rooms by the hotel and a camera was found in one of these rooms.
“According to the complainants, when they switched off the lights before going to bed, they a saw red light coming from the ceiling fan of the room. They then discovered a hidden camera inside the fan,” he added.
