East Delhi civic body resumes online filing of RTI

NEW DELHI: After years of technical trouble, East Delhi Municipal Corporation has restarted the facility to file RTIs online.
Spokesperson of the civic body Rakesh Gupta said that people can go to the existing Delhi government website www.rtionline.delhi.gov.in to file the application. "They will find that along with 150 other departments, EDMC is also a public authority to which an RTI can be sent,"he said.
EDMC has also organised a workshop for the smooth functioning of the online RTI portal at their headquarters on Wednesday. "During this workshop, RTI assistants of different departments were provided log-in username and passwords," Gupta said.
