IIT professor from Himachal Pradesh robbed at knifepoint in Delhi

An IIT professor, who had come to Delhi for a meeting, was robbed at knifepoint outside a hotel in Paharganj when he stepped out of his hotel to buy some essential things on Sunday evening.

NEW DELHI: An IIT professor, who had come to Delhi for a meeting, was robbed at knifepoint outside a hotel in Paharganj when he stepped out of his hotel to buy some essential things on Sunday evening.
In his complaint, the professor from IIT Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, said that the accused waylaid him near a secluded stretch when he stopped near some vegetable vendors. He felt someone was pulling out the phone from his pocket.
The professor tried to grab the hand of the thief, but the accused pulled out a big knife and asked him to hand over the phone. A case of armed robbery has been registered and efforts are on to nab the accused.
