Man arrested for supplying arms in west Delhi

A 39-year-old man was arrested for allegedly supplying arms to criminals in west Delhi, police said on Wednesday.

NEW DELHI: A 39-year-old man was arrested for allegedly supplying arms to criminals in west Delhi, police said on Wednesday. The accused was identified as Vijay Sharma, a resident of Jain Colony in Uttam Nagar.
He was was nabbed on Tuesday night from Sector-2 in Dwarka, where he had come to deliver fire arms to one of his clients, they said.
One improvised revolver was recovered from him, police said.

During interrogation, Sharma disclosed that he used to polish steel in Madipur area.
"He came in contact of a person named Sunil, who was also a resident of Madipur. Sharma and Sunil started their own 'Satta' business. But they suffered huge losses. The duo then started supplying arms," said deputy commissioner of police (Dwarka) Anto Alphonse.
Sunil supplies arms to prospective buyers in west Delhi, he said.
He used to collect the firearms from Sunil and deliver them to buyers, added the officer.
Sunil has been absconding and raids are on to nab him, the police added.
