Man carrying cash reward of Rs 50,000 arrested from South West Delhi

A 32-year-old man, involved in several cases of burglaries, was arrested from South West Delhi's R K Puram area, police said on Tuesday.

NEW DELHI: A 32-year-old man, involved in several cases of burglaries, was arrested from South West Delhi's R K Puram area, police said on Tuesday.
The suspect, Mohammad Faisal, a resident of Shastri Park, was carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head in a case of burglary registered at the Nabi Karim police station, they said.
The arrest was made after he was intercepted by a police team on Vivekanand Marg near a hotel on Monday, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southwest) Devender Arya said.

A country-made pistol, along with three live cartridges, were recovered from him, the officer said.
Investigations revealed that he along with his brother Mohammad Wasi, Mohammad Shadab, Mohammad Jafaar and Mohammad Zafar used to go to posh colonies of Delhi impersonating scrap-dealers, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southwest) Devender Arya said.
His brothers - Wasi and Shadab were arrested in a case Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) earlier, police said, adding that further investigation is underway.
