NEW DELHI: North Delhi Municipal Corporation has decided to conduct the exercise of transferring primary school teachers and principals through the e-transfer policy.
Throughout the year, the education department receives around 1,000 applications for transfer of teachers and principals due to which a child’s education is affected and lot of time wasted. “We don’t want students to suffer unnecessarily and that’s why the e-transfer policy has been introduced.
It will simplify things and transfers will be done once a year after verifying the details and the reason for transfer,” education committee chairperson Ritu Goel said.
Under the policy, teachers and principals can apply for transfer over the north corporation’s website — www.mcdonline.gov.in — from July 9 to July 19 every year.
“While applying, teachers and principals will have to give five options where they want to get transferred with proper reasoning. Thereafter, the system will automatically transfer the person where a post is vacant on first come basis,” Goel added.
The education committee’s chairperson said that north corporation is the only civic body that has implemented the e-transfer policy to make the entire procedure transparent and unbiased.
