The Economic Offence Wing of Delhi Police has arrested Manpreet Singh Chadha, the vice-chairman of Wave Group in a case of real estate fraud.

Sources say that Manpreet was fleeing to Phuket but police got a tip-off and nabbed him.
NEW DELHI: The Economic Offence Wing of Delhi Police has arrested Manpreet Singh Chadha, the vice-chairman of Wave Group in a case of real estate fraud.
Manpreet is the son of slain liquor baron, Ponty Chadha. He was arrested from the IGI airport on Wednesday night.
The EOW had earlier lodged an FIR of cheating against Manpreet and five others on a complaint lodged by home buyers who did not get the delivery of the properties booked booked by them.

The primary complainants were K Ramesh and Kaveri Ramesh, the FIR shows. The FIR pertains to a project in Ghaziabad.
Sources say that he was fleeing to Phuket but police got a tip-off and nabbed him. He would be produced in court and the police will seek his remand for further interrogation. The police are likely to make more arrests in connection with the case.
