Many south Delhi localities will face water supply woes for the next two days due to ongoing work on water supply lines. Delhi Jal Board has advised residents to use water judiciously.

NEW DELHI: Many south Delhi localities will face water supply woes for the next two days due to ongoing work on water supply lines. Delhi Jal Board has advised residents to use water judiciously.
A DJB official said that interconnection work was being undertaken for shifting of 1,500mm diameter water lines going from Sonia Vihar water treatment plant. The work will take place on Ring Road near Pragati Power Station under the corridor development plan of Public Works Department.
“This will affect the supply on Thursday and Friday,” the official said.
Water tankers will be available at 1916, 1800117118, 23527679, 23634469, (Central Control Room), 22727812 (Mandawali), 26473720 (Giri Nagar), 29234746 (GK), 29819035 (Jal Sadan), 26137216 (Vasant Kunj) and 29941824 (Sarita Vihar).
Meanwhile, some east Delhi areas will also not receive water on Thursday evening. The DJB official said the supply would be affected due to the shutdown of a 1,200mm diameter Jal Vihar main at Janta Colony Jafrabad.
