One more in Faridabad tests positive for Covid-19

FARIDABAD: One more person was tested positive for Covid-19 on Tuesday in Faridabad. A 68-year-old woman, who had visited the BK Hospital with flu-like symptoms on April 18, was tested as a precautionary measure. With this, the total number of cases has gone up to 43 in the district.
“An elderly woman has been tested positive for Covid-19. The woman has no travel history and is not a primary and a secondary contact of any patient.
A total of 25 people, including her immediate family members, have been quarantined,” said Dr Ram Bhagat, deputy civil surgeon, Faridabad. An official said the woman lives in Sector-48 and this is the first case in that area. The government agencies are still trying to trace her source of infection.
The health department, meanwhile, started 13 mobile dispensaries which are going to different areas in the district to provide medical assistance to residents. Eleven roadways buses and two ambulances are used as mobile dispensaries.
Gurgaon deputy commissioner Yashpal Yadav said a team of doctors in these mobile dispensaries are providing treatment to residents.
