7 more test Covid positive in Faridabad

GURUGRAM: Seven more people tested positive for Covid-19 in Faridabad on Thursday.
With this, the total number of Covid cases has increased to 85 in the district.
Of them, one patient is a vegetable vendor who was identified during a survey conducted by the health department in Sector-16. A 51-year-old man working in a manufacturing unit of a private company in Faridabad also tested positive on Thursday.
He has no travel history and the manufacturing unit where he is working is not operational. He toldofficials that he had only been going out to buy groceries and milk.
Another 52-year-old man working in a garment factory in Faridabad was also tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday. The factory is located in Mewla Mahrajpur and had stalled its operations since lockdown. The patient, who lives in Greenfield Colony, was admitted to a private hospital for fissure treatment for past four days. His result revealed he has Covid.
Two colleagues of the 55-year-old guard, who died due to Covid-19, were also tested positive. One of them, aged around 33, lives in Jawahar Colony while the other, who is 29 years old lives in Daultabad village of Sector 16a in Faridabad. The wife (45) and son (22) of a patient who was tested positive a few days ago at ESIC hospital have contracted the infection.
“Of the seven cases, four were tested positive late on Wednesday while three tested positive on Thursday,” said Dr Ram Bhagat, deputy civil surgeon.
