FARIDABAD: The office-goers to Faridabad may face difficulties during morning rush hours on Friday as the Delhi-Faridabad (national highway 2) road will be closed during the early morning hours.
Around a kilometre long stretch on the highway will be closed between 4:30am to 8am for traffic near Bata Metro Station in Faridabad. Several diversions have been made in the area for a smoother traffic movement.
The parking at the metro station too will remain closed during these hours.
The highway authorities will install a footover bridge to facilitate the pedestrians who want to cross the highway near Hanuman Temple between Ajronda Flyover and Bata metro station. The metal frames for the bridge will be installed during the early morning hours.
While, the authorities plan to wrap up the work by 8am, there may be a possibility that the duration may be extended leading to a discomfort of the commuters including those coming to Faridabad from Delhi and Gurugram. Plus, there will be a tailback of heavy vehicles on the highway waiting for an entry into Faridabad.
In a bid to beat any snarls, Faridabad traffic police will divert heavy vehicles towards Delhi from Palwal via Goodyear Chowk- sector 4 and sector 8. The light vehicles will be allowed to use the service lanes and the internal sector roads.
Heavy vehicles from Delhi and headed towards Palwal and Ballabhgarh will be diverted via Ajronda flyover to outer bypass Road.
