The bus shed with a small bench cannot accommodate the passengers
PANAJI: The bus stop outside Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC) for those travelling towards Panaji, is not big enough considering the number of patients visiting the government hospital.
The small bus shed with an even smaller bench that can accommodate only around 10 persons often has people spilling out of the bus stop onto the highway.
The passengers including the sick and also senior citizens, have to wait for buses in extreme weather conditions under intense sun and heavy rains after visiting to the hospital.

Meanwhile, the ongoing construction work of the new Zuari bridge has left commuters without a bus shed between Cortalim circle and Zuari bridge. With the road in front of the bus shed closed for construction work, the public are forced to stand on the parallel road sans shade, shelter or even a place to sit. When intense work is on, they also have to bear with the heavy construction dust.
