Digambar demands withdrawal of Sec 144

Panaji: Opposition leader Digambar Kamat has demanded immediate withdrawal of Section 144 imposed in the state in view of the Supreme court verdict on Ayodhya last week.
“The judgement is accepted by all and there are no protests anywhere in the country. The state government has no reason to continue with the prohibitory orders”, he said adding that Goans should be allowed to protest to protect the lifeline to Goa.
