Man’s body found in Surla forest

BICHOLIM: Valpoi police on Monday retrieved the body of Yallapa Fakirappa Malangi, 36, lying in dense forest area at Surla, Sattari.
Valpoi forest officials said that the body of the deceased, a native of Markhandenagar, Piranwadi, in Belagavi, Karnataka, was found during a routine patrol in the forest.
After getting alerted, ASI Yeshwant Mandrekar rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
The identity of the deceased was established through his Aadhar and PAN card. The body has been preserved at Goa medical college and hospital, Bambolim.
