Panaji: Nigerian held with drugs worth Rs 2.7 lakh

A 43-year-old Nigeria national was caught in possession of drugs in a raid carried out by the anti-narcotic cell of Panaji police, late Friday night. The narcotics are suspected to be cocaine and MDMA, together worth Rs 2.7 lakh.

PANAJI: A 43-year-old Nigeria national was caught in possession of drugs in a raid carried out by the anti-narcotic cell of Panaji police, late Friday night. The narcotics are suspected to be cocaine and MDMA, together worth Rs 2.7 lakh.
The raid was conducted between 11.40pm and 1.40am on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday at a rented room, and accused Chukwadi Oformata was arrested.

The accused was found with 10.56 grams of white coloured powder suspected to be cocaine and 16.31 grams of brown coloured crystalline substance suspected to be MDMA. The drugs were attached under panchnama and the accused was booked.
