Non-profit group to take up cudgels for defending rights of disabled persons

PANAJI: Persons with disabilities (PwD) and social activists working in the disability sector have come together under the Initiative for Disability Awareness, Rights and Empowerment (iDare) to defend the rights of persons with disabilities.
The non-profit organisation is looking at tackling issues, including lack of basic services, inaccessible educational institutes and cases of denial of human rights that have remained unresolved for years.

With departments falling short in fulfilling the expectations of persons with disabilities, iDare will cajole, assist and persevere issues of concern. tnn
