PANAJI: Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) has asked individuals and occupants, whose names figure in the original Goa State Industrial Development Corporation (GSIDC) list, and their legal heirs in possession and occupation of stalls and areas in the new market complex to submit proof of their occupancy and possession on or before February 28.
In a public notice, CCP has asked for an affidavit-cum-declaration-cum-undertaking in proof of their claim of occupancy or possession of shop to be submitted to the administrative-cum-accounts officer as well obtain details and date for execution of leave and license agreement failing which the CCP has stated that it will evict individuals as per provisions of law.

Last week, in a step towards resolving the issue of illegal tenants in the new market, CCP, at a special meeting, passed a resolution to regularise occupants in the new Panaji market complex by signing agreements of leave and licence for a 30-year period. CCP decided to cancel all allotments to the tenants as it was done without following legal procedure.
