MARGAO: South Goa police on Sunday arrested six persons on charges of theft of mobile phones and domestic appliances, in two separate incidents.
In the first case, Colva police conducted a raid at Gandhi market, Margao, and arrested three persons and recovered from their possession five mobile phones, all worth Rs 82,000, believed to be stolen property.
Police revealed the names of the accused as Ravi Gosavi and Anil Gosavi, residents of Khareband, Margao, and natives of Karnataka, and Javed Ali, staying at Gandhi market, Margao, and native of Uttar Pradesh.

In the second incident, Margao town police arrested three persons – Raj Kapoor Nalu, and Mukesh Kumar Chawan, both residents of Khareband, Margao, and natives of Uttar Pradesh; and Tanveer Major, resident of Mungul, Colva, and a native of Karnataka – after 26 mobile phones and five mixer grinders were recovered from their possession, from Margao station road.
