South Western Railway arrests 6 touts in Goa

MARGAO: The South Western Railway on Thursdy conducted a special drive ‘Operation Thunder’ against touts as part of its nation-wide exercise.
RPF arrested six touts from various railway stations railway tickets worth Rs 4.4 lakhs were recovered from their possession.
SWR officials said that the accused touts were working for Ramakrishna Tours and Travels, Bengaluru, Ambika Electrical and Hardware Shop, Mysuru, Manu Tours and Travels, Bengaluru, and Meenaxi-iway Internet, Belagavi besides two individuals from Yeshwantpur and Haveri.
The touts were using their personal IDs to book e-tickets and sell them at higher prices to other passengers.
