‘Water hunt’ in Panaji on Sunday

‘Water hunt’ in Panaji on Sunday
Panaji: Sunday will see citizens participating in a ‘water hunt’, a unique contest being held to create awareness about Tiswadi taluka’s depleting water resources.
The event has been organised by Think Panjim, a voluntary organisation, in association with the state’s traffic cell and Goa For Giving with the aim to increase awareness about the need for water bodies, for a better today and tomorrow.

It will be held on the lines of a treasure hunt in places around Panaji for which clues have been prepared by historian Sanjeev Sardesai.
Participation is open to anyone in the age group 18 and above. Entry fee of Rs 100 will be charged.
The hunt, which will have two-wheelers and four-wheeler categories, will be flagged off at 9.30pm from Campal. Contestants have been asked to report at 8.30am for registration. Contestants will be given clues using which they will have to find water bodies located in Panaji and surrounding areas.
Organisers have said that participants will have to follow traffic rules, especially speed limits, and wear helmets and seat belts.
