GURUGRAM: Thirty one people tested positive for Covid-19 in
Faridabad on Friday. Now, the number of
cases has crossed the 300 mark in the district. Also, the district recorded a Covid-19
death on Friday. So far eight Covid-19 patients have died in Faridabad.
A 62-year-old man, who was a resident of NIT-2 in Faridabad, died of Covid-19 on Friday. Among those tested positive include a 55-year-old postman, who is a resident of Parvatiya Colony; a 29-year-old pregnant woman, a resident of Sanjay Colony; two journalists aged 26 years 42 years.
A 14-year-old girl, a resident of Sector 23, also tested positive and was told to go into home isolation. She is a contact of an patient.
A 42-year-old businessman, who is a resident of Sector 37, also tested positive. He is also undergoing quarantine at his home.
“Out of 31 patients found positive, 13 people were isolated at their homes, while the remaining were admitted to hospital for treatment. We also crossed the mark of 11,000 for testing samples on Friday,” said a health department official.
