HISAR: Hisar police has registered a criminal case against a coach for allegedly molesting a minor national-level player several times. Police has started investigations but the accused has not been arrested yet.
Hisar police spokesperson said that a case had been registered on the complaint of 17-year-old player against her coach Vinod Loyal alias Bedu, a resident of village Chuli Bagariyan of Hisar, under sections 354, 354-A, 354-D of the Indian Penal Code and sections 8 and 10 of POCSO Act.

In the complaint given to the police, the player said that her coach Vinod used to stare at her with bad intentions. In 2015, on the pretext of celebrating Janmashtami, all the players were invited in a gaushala from where the coach took everyone to his home in the night, she said.
While narrating her ordeal the player said that while she was sleeping in a room at her coach’s house he came there at around 2 or 3 am and tried to grab her hand with bad intentions. It was only after she protested that he went away from the room.
She said in a similar incident in 2016, when her team went to another state to play in a tournament the coach molested her but she did not tell anyone out of fear of insult.
Later, the player mustered courage and described the incidents to her parents after which the police registered the case on the basis of complaint.
Police said the investigation was handed over to sub-inspector Sushil Bala.
