HISAR: A retired ASI was shot through his heart on the porch of his house in Mangali Suratiya village of Hisar by three armed intruders late Sunday night. According to initial police investigations , a land dispute appears to be the motive behind killing 62-year-old Ramdhari. The latter had nine daughters, eight of whom were married.
Hisar police spokesperson said that a case has been registered under Section 302 (murder), 34 (common intention) of Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act against Hoshiyar and his brother Balwant, both residents of Singharan village of Hisar, on the complaint of the victim’s daughter, Kamlesh.

In her complaint to the police, Kamlesh, a Class X student, said that she, her married elder sister Ritu, mother Krishna and father Ramdhari were getting set to retire for the night on Sunday. She said it was usual for her father to sleep on the porch while all of them slept in the lobby. Kamlesh said that at around 10 pm, she suddenly heard gunshots being fired. When she got up to check, she saw three people standing over her father. When she raised the alarm, they escaped, and on moving closer, she saw her father lying on a couch with blood all over him.
The girl said that even as she stood there, her uncles Yadram and Rameshwar and cousin Anoop arrived there. They arranged a vehicle to take her father to the hospital, where the doctors declared him dead.
Doctors said a bullet was found in Ramdhari’s heart. According to police, his body has been handed over to his family.
Kamlesh said the family had a land dispute with Hoshiyar and Balwant Singh and the duo had attacked her father earlier, too. Kamlesh voiced the suspicion that they were behind her father’s murder.
