ACTA gives Rs 6 lakh to CM's flood relief fund

Assam College Teachers' Association (ACTA) met chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal and handed over a cheque of Rs 6 lakhs in view of the current flood situation.

GUWAHATI: Assam College Teachers' Association (ACTA) met chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal and handed over a cheque of Rs 6 lakhs in view of the current flood situation.
The said amount was donated to the CM's Relief Fund by a delegation of ACTA comprising president Biswajit Bhuyan, general secretary Himangshu Maral, academic secretary Anupam Dutta, office and publicity secretary Dhanjeet Deka and CEC member Deben Bora.

In response to the call of the central leadership, colleges under the 21 zonal committees of ACTA have already come forward to help the flood-affected people of Assam with cash and relief materials, and many of them have contributed directly to the CM's Relief Fund.
