Assam Rifles recovers contraband drugs worth Rs 3 crore in Manipur
Troops of Assam Rifles recovered contraband drugs worth Rs 3 crore near Tengnoupal check post in Tengnoupal district in Manipur on November 16, the paramilitary force said on Monday.
After a thorough check of the vehicle, the team recovered 1,00,000 World is Yours (WIY) tablets worth Rs 3 crore
GUWAHATI: Troops of Assam Rifles recovered contraband drugs worth Rs 3 crore near Tengnoupal check post in Tengnoupal district in Manipur on November 16, the paramilitary force said on Monday.
A statement said during a routine check by troops of Assam Rifles at around 3pm on November 16, a vehicle driven by Seijamang Kipgen of Churachandpur district in the state was intercepted based on suspicion.
"After a thorough check of the vehicle, the team recovered 1,00,000 World is Yours (WIY) tablets worth Rs 3 crore," the statement said.
“The individual and the recovered items have been handed over to Police Station Tengnoupal for further investigation,” it added.
