GUWAHATI: On a day the Centre and NSCN(IM) held another round of talks, several women from the all-women run Ema Keithels (mother's markets) in Imphal on Thursday marched up to the Raj Bhawan in protest, demanding assurance from the Centre that territorial integrity of the state will not be compromised.
Women protesters marched to the Raj Bhawan from the three Ema Ekeithals. Later they met governor Najma Heptullah and also submitted memorandum to her, reiterating that the final solution to the Naga problem should not compromise the territorial integrity of the state.

Meanwhile, Manipur assembly speaker Y Khemchand Singh wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, stating that any change to the existing boundary is "unacceptable and non-negotiable" to the people of the state. The assembly has passed nine resolutions between July 1998 and July 2018 reiterating the commitment to safeguard the territorial integrity of the state, the letter stated.
