HYDERABAD: A 35-year-old businessman was hacked to death by two car-borne men in broad daylight at Meerpet in the city outskirts on Thursday morning. It is the second such case in Hyderabad in the last 12 hours.
An auto driver was hacked to death on a busy street of Hyderabad late last night.
G Srinivas Goud, resident of Timmarasipally village in Kalwakurthy mandal of Nagarkurnool district, was married and had two children.
He owned an earthmover and dabbled in real estate.
Three months ago, Goud moved to Hyderabad leaving his wife and children in the village as he felt threat to his life from another family.
"Srinivas Goud had an affair with a married woman from the village. A Cyber Crime case was also filed against him. Sensing threat from the other family, Goud moved to Hyderabad three months ago and started staying with his nephew in Badangpet area," Vanasthalipuram ACP Gandhi Narayana told TOI.
On Thursday morning, Goud's relative met him at the house in Badangpet and they decided to go and see a plot of land nearby.
While they were through Teacher's Colony, at around 8.30 am, an Indica car came from behind and hit their bike.

Srinivas and his relative fell on the road and two people got down from the car with hunting sickles.
"The duo chased and hacked Srinivas to death. His relative was threatened by the accused and he stayed away," the ACP said.
After killing Srinivas, the accused fled from the spot in their car.
Police shifted the body to mortuary for postmortem and launched a man hunt to nab the offenders. A murder case was registered under section 302 of the IPC.
