HYDERABAD: A 27-year-old businessman was bludgeoned to death by his friend at a graveyard in Golconda in Telangana capital Hyderabad on Friday morning.
At around 6.30am, local residents of Alijapur have alerted about the body of an unknown man lying in a pool of blood at Hindu Graveyard. Police team found the abandoned scooter near the body.
"Unknown persons attacked the victim on his head with a boulder and killed him on the spot.
We have found a scooter near the body. By verifying the registration number and vehicle documents found in the dickey, the victim was identified as Rahul Chand Agarwal," Goclonda inspector K Chandra Sekhar Reddy said.
Rahul Chand Agarwal was operating a medical shop at Mallepally and during the investigation, police found out that on Thursday night he left the house to meet a friend Azhar, a mechanic from Mallepally.
"Azhar and Rahul have been friends since their childhood. On Thursday night they met at Mallepally and came to the grave yard at Alijapur in Golconda to consume liquor. While consuming liquor, it appears like they had an argument about some issue and Azhar attacked Rahul on the head with a boulder," the inspector said.
