HYDERABAD: A day after K T Rama Rao was appointed working president of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), supporters of T Harish Rao are concerned about his future.
A large number of the Siddipet legislator’s supporters made a beeline to the minister's quarters in the city to show solidarity with their leader.

Harish Rao’s next move will be watched as anointing KTR as working president by party president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has caused heartburn among those close to Harish Rao.
It was a clear case of the father preferring the son over his nephew who was with him right from the time TRS was launched in 2001.
Everything appeared to be cordial on Friday as KTR drove down to Harish Rao’s residence to pay a courtesy call on him after it was announced that KTR was appointed working president of TRS by KCR.
Harish Rao was away when KTR dropped by and returned home to meeting a waiting KTR. He later made a formal statement talking to the media that he would work together with KTR.

Harish Rao’s facial expression, however, gave an indication of his mixed emotions as there was no smile on his face.

In the previous government Harish Rao, KCR’s nephew, was irrigation minister while KTR was IT minister. KCR was sworn in as CM on December 13 along with another minister Mahmood Ali who was given the home portfolio. The cabinet expansion, it was announced, will take place in a week.
Supporters of Harish Rao who won with the highest majority in the state and also contributed to the TRS victory in many constituencies are now keeping their fingers crossed on what importance he would be given in the party and especially the government. The question that is haunting them is whether Harish Rao will be inducted into the cabinet at all.
