Massive jam at Panthangi toll gate

HYDERABAD: Heavy traffic jam was witnessed on Monday at Panthangi toll gate in Choutuppal mandal of Yadadri district due to software issues that caused delay in toll collection.
The vehicles heading towards Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Suryapet, Vijayawada and beyond were caught in the traffic jam near the toll gate and were stranded to a distance of three kilometers. The use of credit cards and debits cards by commuters contributed to the delay in letting off the vehicles after collecting the toll fee.
The massive traffic jam at the toll plaza unnerved several commuters and some were seen arguing with the toll plaza staff for not making advance arrangements in anticipation of the rise in traffic.
As per the reports, some commuters allegedly vandalised the toll gates as they were not allowed by the staff to proceed further due to the technical issue.
