K Chandrashekhar Rao took oath as the Chief Minister of Telangana for a second term in a row. Governor ESL Narasimhan administered the oath of office and secrecy to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader at a ceremony held at Raj Bhavan
* KCR, as he is popularly known, is likely to expand his cabinet next week. The TRS retained power by winning 88 seats in the 119-member Assembly.
* Ali, who was Deputy Chief Minister in the previous cabinet, is likely to retain the same post.

* Mohammed Mahmood Ali, a member of Telangana Legislative Council, also took oath as a Minister.

* The police department Wednesday issued a traffic advisory asking the public to avoid the Raj Bhavan road between 12 pm and 3 pm in view of the swearing-in of Rao, scheduled at 1.30 pm, and take alternative routes to their destinations.
* In the recently concluded elections, the TRS won 88 seats in the 119-member assembly, trouncing the Congress-led People's Front, which ended up with a tally of 21.

* As per the rule, only up to 15% of the total strength of 119 legislators can be made ministers.
* KCR said after a week or so, he would induct more ministers to make it a full-fledged ministry.
* Along with KCR, only one more minister may take oath. However, whether that one minister may also be sworn in is still a question as KCR said he was not in a position to give clarity on that. “It may or may not happen,” KCR said about that one minister. He did not give the name of the legislator who he was considering to induct into the ministry.
* Rao will be administered oath of office by Governor ESL Narasimhan.
* On Wednesday, Rao was unanimously elected leader of the TRS Legislature Party by the newly-elected MLAs.
* The swearing-in ceremony would be held at the Raj Bhavan at around 1.25 pm
