‘There will be no TDP after 2019 polls’

‘There will be no TDP after 2019 polls’
HYDERABAD: TRS working president KT Rama Rao said TDP will become irrelevant and inconsequential after 2019 general elections. Taking potshots at TDP president Chandrababu Naidu’s efforts to cobble up a new national front, KTR said TDP was trying to float the front for its own survival and divert attention of people from its failures.
He said the federal front being floated by KCR was aimed at bringing about a qualitative change in politics and ensuring all schemes reach the people.
“We are predicting a hung Parliament in 2019 elections. The BJP will get only 150-160 seats, while Congress will be confined to 90. Both cannot form the government on their own. As a result, every regional party will have a major say in formation of Central government. The TRS, which is hopeful of getting 16 of 17 seats in elections, will have a key role,” he said.
On TRS making a foray into AP politics, KTR said: “I am of the opinion that there should be a powerful regional force in AP too. AP people will decide who it should be though we have our own interests.”
