IMPHAL: At least four policemen, including an inspector, have been suspended in connection with a
drug seizure case at the border town of
Moreh.
The case relates to the seizure of 34 carton boxes containing, ketamine injection P labelled as Ketamax 50, from a house at Moreh on Tuesday, a source said on Saturday. Upon further investigation of the case, four cops - inspector L Vaiphei, officer in charge of Moreh police station, assistant sub-inspector P Haokip, head constable Md Khalilup, and driver L Kom - were found to have connection with trading with the drugs, the source added.
The cops were later arrested and suspended from their services and investigation is on to ascertain the veracity of the case.
