INDORE: With smiles on their faces and victory signs, 26 Covid-beaters walked out of Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences.
Of the 26, seven were elderly people including a 78-year-old woman and six were teenagers.
Dr Ravi Dosi, HoD respiratory department SAIMS said, “A couple of elderly people were critical initially and were in ICU. The oxygen level was low in their bodies but with time and proper treatment they managed to recover”.
The teenagers were asymptomatic.
They developed no signs of infection during treatment as well, said Dosi.
The Tuesday’s discharged lot has four families who got infection from one of their own members, said Dosi.
The patients thanked the doctors and hospital staff for their hard work and best medical treatment.
A policeman in his mid-thirties, who was also discharged, said, “I was admitted to the hospital on May 2 after testing positive. It’s because of the doctors and staff, we all are walking back home after beating the disease.”
