INDORE: Indore sizzled at 44 degrees Celsius on Friday registering the hottest day of the season, breaking all previous records.
Indore is witnessing an excruciating summer with back to back records of highest temperature in June.
The minimum temperature for the day stood at 28.5 degree Celsius, data from Meteorological department showed. According to records of Met department, highest maximum temperature recorded in Indore in June was 45.8 degree Celsius on June 3, 1991.

Regional Met department official said that hot winds in state have led to soaring mercury that may further intensify in some parts of state. As per the forecast of the weatherman, Indore, Dewas, Ujjain and Dhar may receive light showers with lightning and heavy winds on Saturday.
Khargone recorded 46.2 degrees Celsius while temperature at Khandwa and Ujjain stood at 44.5 and 44.4 degree Celsius respectively. High temperatures even at nights have left citizens disturbed as mercury is unlikely to calm down in next few days, according to weather department.
