Yellow category hospitals are marked for suspected Covid cases
INDORE: Patients admitted to yellow category hospitals, marked for Covid-19 suspects, are living in constant fear of contracting Covid-19 infection.
Dr Rajeev Singh, official spokesperson of Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences- a yellow and Covid-19 facility said, "Suspected patients admitted to yellow ward of the hospital through contact tracing are always in fear of catching infection. They kept asking whether they are safe in the ward or not or is it ok to use common toilets."
This is happening even after the hospital administration has been taking all the precautions like maintaining three feet minimum distance between two bed.

The viral fear increases when any suspected case is tested positive. This fear remains even after getting discharge from the hospital.
"We try to motivate them, make them aware them about it to help them get rid of their fears. All other protocols are being followed and sanitisation is in focus", said Singh.
Dr Nidhi Jain, psychiatrist and member of state-level toll-free counselling team said, "The people remain anxious all day, especially on the day of sample collection. They also asked whether they would get infection by visiting or in getting admitted to the hospital. Our team try to help them get rid of the fears through counselling over phone".

Dr Narendra Patel, Shalby Hospital- a yellow facility said, "People are in fear of getting infected. But they are coping as well."
Earlier, in last week of March and April, the people were in more panic but because of continuous awareness the fear level has reduced, said Patel.
The condition of fear and anxiety was not only with the patients but also with doctors and paramedical staff. But, now the situation has been improving because of increasing recovery rate and decreasing fatality rate in city, added Patel.
