INDORE: Indore is getting back to back good news as far as parameters of Covid-19 are concerned. After huge improvement in recovery rate and average hospital stay time, there has been an increase in doubling time for cases in city.
Doubling rate of Covid-19 in city has slowed to 25 days from earlier 19. It took 25 days from May 9 to June 3 for positive to go up from 1800 to 3600 in city. Earlier, it had taken 19 days from April 20 to May 9 for cases to double from 900 to 1800.
This doubling rate is far ahead of national average of 14 days but still behind state’s doubling rate of 31 days.

Dr Salil Sakalle, HoD community medicine said, “The doubling rate has slowed because of reduction in positivity rate. It has come down because of intense surveillance, isolation in city.”
The lockdown in last two months has also helped in containing the spread of virus in city, added Sakalle.
