Two people were injured after a major fight broke out between two neighbouring families over water problems in Krishnanagar colony of Vijay Nagar.

INDORE: Two people were injured after a major fight broke out between two neighbouring families over water problems in Krishnanagar colony of Vijay Nagar.
Vijay Nagar police said that in the afternoon, women from the families had entered into a heated discussion over water. The matter escalated to an extent that one of the families approached police with a complaint against the other.

After they came to know about this, the family members-Shakir, Wajid, Zuber, Sajid and Sufiyan- reached the complainant Insaf and Ifran’s house. They asked them to take the complaint back and strike a compromise.
When Insaaf and Ifran refused for a compromise, the accused brought sharp-edged weapons and attacked the duo. They also thrashed them brutally. The duo was rushed to hospital.
Police reached the spot after learning about the incident. They registered a case against Shakir and Wajid. The families in the area were shocked as the incident just before Eid.
Police said that the situation was under control. They have also detained the accused involved in the case. The fight had started over a petty issue and escalated within a day.
