INDORE: Police on Thursday busted a gang of vehicle lifters and arrested seven students, who are currently studying in private institutions of the city.
Seven vehicles and Rs 4 lakh cash were recovered from their possession.
Police said all the accused are residents of Bagh in
Dhar district and were staying in the city for work and studies. Officials said acting on a tip off, police team nabbed Pankaj Baghel, 18 and Prakash Nigwal, 19 from Teen Imli.
During sustained questioning, they revealed names of other accused involved in the crime.
A case was registered against Raju Malviya, Santosh Bhuria,
Krishna Jamra, Madhav Mandloi, Hira Singh Gopal and all the accused were arrested.
Pankaj is a student at government college in Rau and Raju Malviya is studying in Kothari College.
Police said that three cases of loot and violence were registered against Madhav. Krishna Jamra was absconding in petrol pump loot case whereas Santosh was also accused of committing a loot.
