INDORE: Keeping in mind the possibility of hot weather on the polling day, Khargone district administration has directed the self-help groups, providing food to the polling party officers, to keep buttermilk, aam panna and onions ready for them throughout the day.
Khargone, which put itself on the map twice as the hottest town of the world, will be experiencing hot weather on Sunday with temperature in the range of 43 degree Celsius.

“We have directed the self-help groups in Khargone to compulsorily provide onions along with the lunch which is helpful to prevent heat stroke,” Khargone zila panchayat CEO DS Randa said.
In Indore, light intermittent clouding had been observed throughout the day on Saturday causing dust storms across the city and bringing the temperature down by two notches. For Sunday, however, the weather department has predicted a rise in the temperatures again and the absence of any clouds in the sky.
The maximum temperature in Indore was recorded at 39.2 degree Celsius on Saturday which was two degrees below normal. The minimum temperature was recorded at 25 degree Celsius, higher than the minimum temperature recorded on Friday at 24.6 degree Celsius.
The wind direction in Indore on Saturday was westerly, with wind speed reaching up to 20 to 25 kmph. A cyclonic circulation had been prevalent in Rajasthan causing a drop in temperature in the western part of the state whose effect was seen to some measure at western districts of Neemuch and Mandsaur in the past few days. The system, however, has not subsided, paving the way for hotter winds to come in the state.
Not only in Indore but the weather remained cloudy in nearby districts as well including Ratlam. The temperature in the nearby districts is likely to increase by a few degrees in the absence of any system over the western Madhya Pradesh region.
