INDORE: Things in Zone -1 areas were pretty much the same as it has been since the last two months as per guidelines of district administration. Zone-1 has a maximum number of containment zones in it. But, freedom in the rest of the three zones was like a breath of fresh air for people.
Barricades in other parts were removed but remained on entry and exit points of containment areas like Chandan Nagar, Bada Ganpati, Juni Indore, Railway station, collectorate.

Police remained deployed at the entry and exit points in these areas and thoroughly checked those trying to move in out of the areas.
People in areas in and around Jawahar Marg with containment zones preferred to remain inside their houses. The traffic movement in some of those areas adjacent to containment zones remained self-restricted.
The movement in these areas remained very low in comparison to other parts of the city. Many people preferred to continue remaining inside for their own safety.
Shops with requisite permission were only allowed but crowds weren’t spotted in these areas. These shops were operational for providing essential services in the area including milk parlours.
DIG Harinarayanachari Mishra said,“System of pass has been abandoned for now even in containment zones. The policemen are checking each and every person for their identity card moving in and outside these areas.”
Around 1100 policemen have been deployed in such areas of the district. The city will observe curfew between 9pm to 5am from night, said DIG Mishra.
No case of any violation in containment zones were reported till evening, added DIG Mishra.
