All state govt offices to go digital by 2022: Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu

Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Digital India campaign, all state government offices in Arunachal Pradesh will be digitalised by 2022, chief minister Pema Khandu said on Friday.

ITANAGAR: Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Digital India campaign, all state government offices in Arunachal Pradesh will be digitalised by 2022, chief minister Pema Khandu said on Friday.
Speaking at an online workshop on e-offices in the northeast, Khandu said the process for digitalization in the state begun in 2016. "People appreciate transparency and accountability of all departments that is bright in by digitalisation.
When India celebrates its 75th Independence Day in 2022, we hope all our departments will feature on the digital platform," he added.
Khandu said digitalisation at the time of Covid-19 is very important as it minimizes human to human contact. The chief minister informed that to date, 11 offices under the civil secretariat and five other government establishments are already on board.
The offices include, administrative reforms, general administration, department of IT & communication, transport, rural works department, water resources, health & family welfare, home, secretariat administration, personnel, industry and skill development, staff selection board and state council for higher & technical education. More than 1,000 officers and officials of civil secretariat have been trained to use the e-offices.
"Remaining offices under the secretariat and 22 directorates will be digitalised within one month while the offices in the second phase constituting 45 departments will undergo the changes in 3 months," the chief minister added.
