ITANAGAR: Four more persons tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Arunachal Pradesh, taking the total number of cases to 95. The state currently has 88 active patients as seven have been discharged after getting cured, state surveillance officer L Jampa said.
While two cases were reported from Changlang district, one each was detected in Tirap and West Kameng districts, he added.
All the cases were reported from quarantine centres and are asymptomatic.
Those who tested positive in Changlang district are returnees from Noida, Uttar Pradesh, while the one from Tirap is a Border Roads Task Force personnel who had recently returned from Tinsukia in Assam. The person from West Kameng district is an Army official who had recently returned to the state from Samastipur in Bihar. So far, five defence personnel have tested positive for the virus in the state.
Among the active cases in the state, 57 are from Changlang district followed by 9 from East Siang, four from West Kameng, two each from Lohit, Tirap and Lower Diang Valley and one each from Tawang, Namsai, Longding and West Siang.
There are current eight active cases in the capital complex area comprising Itanagar and Naharlagun.
