Arunachal Pradesh recorded seven new Covid-19 cases since Monday night, taking the state's tally to 27.While two cases were reported late on Monday, five persons tested positive for the virus on Tuesday.

ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh recorded seven new Covid-19 cases since Monday night, taking the state's tally to 27. While two cases were reported late on Monday, five persons tested positive for the virus on Tuesday. With this, Arunachal has 26 active cases as one patient was discharged earlier after being cured.
Four of Tuesday's positive cases were reported from Itanagar. "As on June 2, 4.40 PM, 5 new positive asymptomatic cases have been reported; Itanagar-4 and Lohit-1.
All are in quarantine centre being shifted to Covid Care Centre," chief minister Pema Khandu tweeted.
In Lohit district, the 36-year-old woman, who tested positive on Tuesday, is the wife of an Indo Tibetan Border police (ITBP) officer and had recently returned from Delhi in a special train along with her husband and her child, district medical officer of Lohit Dr S Chai Pul said. The patient had reached the state on May 24 and her swab samples were sent to Regional Medical Research Centre Dibrugarh on May 28. "The results came back today (Tuesday). However, her husband and her child's results came back negative. They were at an institutional quarantine facility of ITBP. The patient has been shifted to a Covid care centre of the paramilitary force," Pul added.
