'Ensure safety of J&K people in Arunachal'

Arunachal Pradesh chief secretary Satya Gopal on Tuesday directed district authorities to take special care to ensure the safety and security of people from Jammu & Kashmir, especially students, in any part of the state.

ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh chief secretary Satya Gopal on Tuesday directed district authorities to take special care to ensure the safety and security of people from Jammu & Kashmir, especially students, in any part of the state.
Stating that the state has witnessed movement of traders and tourists from Jammu & Kashmir, Gopal directed the district officials to keep a close vigil on such traders and tourists and provide necessary safety and security to them.

In a video conferencing with deputy commissioners and superintendents of police, the chief secretary directed them to maintain maximum alert so as to pre-empt and prevent any breach of security or public order in view of the introduction of the Reorganisation of Jammu and Kashmir Bill, 2019.
