Arunachal Pradesh on Monday reported six new cases of Covid-19, taking the total infected cases in the state to 57.

ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh on Monday reported six new cases of Covid-19, taking the total infected cases in the state to 57. The total number of active cases in the state stands at 56, while one was discharged from hospital after being cured, a senior health official said.
Of the fresh cases, three are from worst-affected Changlang district, while one each reported from East Siang, Lower Dibang Valley and Tirap districts respectively, he said.

All infected people who returned to the state recently from other affected states are asymptomatic and were in quarantine facilities, state surveillance officer Dr L Jampa said.
All active cases were shifted to Covid Care Centres, he added. The northeastern state on Sunday reported two fresh cases of Covid-19, both from Changlang district.
With the new cases, Changlang district recorded the highest number of novel coronavirus positive persons in the state with 37 cases.
