19 more test positive for swine flu in Pink City

JAIPUR: Barring Jaipur, only three cases of swine flu were reported from entire state on Wednesday. Twenty two persons were tested positive for swine flu in the state taking total number of swine flu cases to 4,081 so far this year.
On Wednesday, 22 persons were diagnosed with swine flu, out of those, 19 belonged to Jaipur. On Tuesday, 34 persons were found infected with swine flu and 33 belonged to Jaipur.
Only one case was reported from other parts of the state, which was reported from Tonk.
Jaipur is still reporting swine flu cases in significant numbers, though the persons tested positive for swine flu are reducing in numbers.
Health authorities claimed that there is a declining trend in swine flu cases. Over the past few days, the mercury level has increased. Relating swine flu outbreak with temperature, the health department officials is hoping that swine flu will be contained in the coming days. “With increasing temperature, the number of swine flu cases will also take a dip,” said a health department official.
However, state has witnessed worst outbreak of swine flu this year since 2015. So far, 137 persons had succumbed to swine flu this year.
The health department had conducted door-to-door activities and strengthened swine flu diagnostic facilities in the state to fight against the disease and to prevent mortalities related to it.
