DCP (traffic) Rahul Prakash, who was heading the drive, constituted various teams for different time slots. As many as 20 teams were deployed at various checkpoints between 7pm and 10pm.
After 10pm, 13 teams took over and continued checking till 1am.

During the drive, 113 car/jeep owners, 148 two-wheeler owners and five other drunk drivers were detained under Section 185 of Motor Vehicles Act (driving by a drunk person), and their vehicles seized, though no FIRs were registered. In future, a case would also be registered under appropriate section of IPC, if the offence is repeated.
The official said, the drive was continued even on Sunday. Following the recent spate of accidents which claimed the lives of four persons, Jaipur traffic police is launching a big drive against drink driving.
