Six of Jaipur among nine killed in three accidents

Six people from Jaipur district were among nine killed in three separate accidents in the state on Sunday. Three women were killed and two others including a three-year-old boy were injured after their car rammed into a stationary truck in Harmada area of the city.

JAIPUR: Six people from Jaipur district were among nine killed in three separate accidents in the state on Sunday. Three women were killed and two others including a three-year-old boy were injured after their car rammed into a stationary truck in Harmada area of the city.
The victims were identified as Santosh Sharma, her daughter Madhu and their relative Puja. Harmda police informed TOI that the accident took place on the Ajmer-Delhi National Highway.
“The car passengers hailed from Daulatpura area of the city and were headed to Chandwai when their speeding car rammed into a truck which was parked alongside the road. Two died on the spot while one succumbed to the injuries in the hospital.
One person who was behind the wheel, is critically injured and is undergoing treatment at the hospital.
In another incident in Jaipur rural, three people travelling in a car were killed after their vehicle collided with a camper vehicle on Manoharpur-Dausa highway on Sunday evening. “Three people were killed on the spot. They have been identified as Harlal Yadav, Mahesh Yadav and Subash Yadav. They were residents of Shahpura and nearby villages and were headed to Dausa when near Shivpuri village their car collided with a camper vehicle transporting vegetables,” said an official of Manoharpur police station.
In Sikar, three were killed after their car fell into a gorge. Two injured were referred to Jaipur for further treatment. The victims were identified as Jagdish, his wife Manju, and their relative Amit Dhaka. Two other relatives, Akshat and Praveen, have been shifted to Jaipur for treatment.
